So you have decided to choose a shorkie or shorkie puppies for your family. You have gone through the enitre process of getting everything in place the timing is right for a new shorkie puppy. You have found a Vet you feel comfortable with, and you have spoken to a  few groomers.  Now the daunting task of find a shorkie breeder is upon you.

You have searched all over the internet net and read a ton of shorkie breeder information from different shorkie breeders websites. But  how do you sift through what is on the net and the truth about shorkie puppies and all the the shorkie breeders. You may have already had a bad experience or two rude breeders that seem like you are an inconvenience to them . We know a few ourselves and have refused them to let them  be apart of the Shorkie Club Of America. If they treat humans like that can you imagine how they treat puppies?  You should never feel uncomfortable speaking to a shorkie breeder, and you should never feel as though you are and inconvenience to them.  The chats  should be a warm and welcoming event into the world of shorkie puppies .  You askings questions and the breeder asing questions to get to know each other.  The Shorkie breeder is, of course (WE WOULD HOPE) concerned about who is adopting their shorkie baby as you should be on where your puppy is coming from. A great breeder can tell if you are the right home without being rude and offensive.   As a Shorkie breeder  we feel it is our obligation to create a loving and  a long-lasting relationship, and educate our shorkie puppy parents.  We encourage our families to get invloved from the beginning and ask questions before and after the birth and take part in the entire process. We do not sell shorkies we adopt them out to loving homes and an adoption is a PROCESS! We ask alot of questions too and that is why we have you fill out our adoption form.  Then we have a discussion and make sure that a shorkie is a good fit for your family.  Families usually will need alot of support and  more education, advice, and after care before and after their shorkie puppy gets home.  A good shorkie breeder does not mind sharing their knowledge, and enjoys guiding these families to ensure that they are happy, and the shokrie puppy has a smooth transition.  We want it to be an enjoyable and unforgetable experience and that should be the case for every family working with the good shorkie breeder.

HOWEVER..........

We do consider ourselves the shorkie experts and always pride ourselves in matching you with the right puppy by getting to know each and every family on a personal level. After all you will be considered extended family!

  You'll think of questions as you go along, and you should not be afraid to ask.  Even if you think it is a dumb question, you should feel comfortable enough with your Shorkie breeder to know that they will not get annoyed or mad because you do not know something.  I have spoken to many wonderful families who have been treated horribly by some certain shorkie breeders and it saddens me greatly.  It is a sign of arrogance and a lack of self-esteem and a not so well bred human being, and I certainly this lets  it lets future shorkie puppy parents to be know that they do not have to put up with this sort of treatment. 

Find a shorkie breeder that the raises the puppies and adults in a clean, roomy, home environment.  AS 100 % family members.   You want to choose a breeder that is raising a puppy that is being socialize properly to go into a pet home, your home.  You want a shorkie breeder that breeds for the passion of the shorkie and follows the guide lines set forth by the Shorkie Club Of America and does genetic testing to ensure you are getting a well bred shorkie puppy.

Your shorkie breeder should also offer you some sort of health and temperament agreement.  We have a contract with our customers on our site that offers 5 yrs for your health warrnty.We can do this because we do the genetic testing that provides a sound breeding program.
